A flying paradise for every level of pilot. Early morning sled rides of over 3800 vertical feet, landing next to the Chicamocha River. Mid morning thermals and XC for more seasoned pilots. 4 launches…Pico de Aguilas and Tumba de Aleman on the Mesa de Los Santos side of the Canon. Chiflas or Panachi launch at the the Parque Nacional de Chicamocha on the opposite side of the Canon.

Ruitoque is a long windward mesa overlooking Bucaramanga with 2 launches that are top landing sites as well. A large main LZ serves both sites below, with several alternative bailout landing areas.

It is an excellent training site, featuring early morning and late afternoon sled rides for the novice pilot, mid morning thermic and XC flights, and afternoon dynamic ridge lift that transforms into glass-off conditions into sunset. Incredibly consistent conditions where you can practice kiting, top landing, and playing all day every day.

Las Aguilas, Vuelo Libre

La Malaña is a P4 site with the potential to cross the great city of Bucaramanga. An excellent XC site with awesome views of the mountains and city.

This is a highly technical launch where you set your wing up on the road above. A few helping hands on the leading edge and you are reverse inflating 3 feet from a cliff. This is a site where the Chulos will show you when to launch. "Wait for the Chulos".

Barichara is a P4 site with potential to XC over this colonial town named “the most beautiful pueblo in Colombia”. The views in the air over the Rio Suarez canyon and the town are spectacular.

Excellent launch, thermal, XC and landing techniques are needed here in order to avoid retrieval at the bottom in a hot thorny field. This another site to wait for the chulos to show you where it is! Launch mid morning and land before noon when it gets too hot and turbulent.

La Purnia is located in the Mesa de los Santos overlooking a small farming area with fantastic views. It is a private launch, for mid morning thermic flights, flying back over the mesa to Acuarela resort to land near a lake or further to one of the many farms in the area. Requires good skills.
